This video features kid and family friendly gameplay but does include jump scares.

Is Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach Good For Kids?

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach is rated PG-13 meaning it is for young teenagers and up. The game features jump scares, simulated violence and builds tension that could be scary for younger players. With that said, the Freddy franchise is enormously popular with young children and the games are played by a wide variety of kid targeted streaming channels.

We’ve found a balance with the game and our family. Our older child has moved on from young kid games and enjoys the horror franchise. Our youngest loves the Freddy Fazbear crew and will watch gameplay videos but doesn’t enjoy playing those games herself. Out of all the games out there, we have found most of the Freddy franchise games to be pretty tame. Parents should make the decisions based on their own child’s tolerance level and interests.
